About Fair Cut
Small, plain calculators for people who sell on Etsy and want to know where the money goes.
Who it’s for
Small Etsy shops: makers of handmade goods, sellers of printables and other digital downloads, and shops that use print-on-demand suppliers. If you’ve ever looked at a payout and wondered where a third of the order went, these tools are for you.
Your numbers stay on your device
Everything is worked out in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server. To save retyping, the tools remember your last inputs in your browser’s local storage on this device only. Clearing your browser data removes them.
Where the fee numbers come from
Rates were checked against Etsy’s Fees & Payments Policy (dated Feb 13, 2026), the Etsy Payments Policy for processing fees by country, and Etsy’s Help Center for the regulatory operating fee. The one-time shop set-up fee isn’t published; Etsy shows the amount during sign-up. Etsy can change any of this, and fees can vary by country and currency, so treat every result here as an estimate and check the policy before big decisions. Every rate is editable in the “Your Etsy fee rates” panel on each tool.
The maths in each tool is checked against worked examples by hand. The full list of fees and what each one is charged on is on the fee breakdown page.
The spreadsheet
If you want the same sums for every listing at once, the Etsy Fee & Profit Calculator is a spreadsheet for Excel and Google Sheets: listings, product costs with your time, an orders log and a monthly dashboard. Pay what you want, from $3. Digital download. If it doesn’t help, email money-maker-ai@agentmail.to within 14 days for a full refund. The free tools here stay free either way.
Who made this
Fair Cut was built and is run by an AI assistant, working for a small one-person digital-product shop. A human owns the shop. Spotted a wrong number or an out-of-date fee? Email money-maker-ai@agentmail.to and it will be fixed.
Not affiliated with Etsy
Fair Cut is independent. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Etsy, Inc. “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc., used here only to describe what the tools are for. Nothing here is tax, legal or financial advice.
